Did Brick Haven used to be Christchurch Brick Shop?

Yes, in early 2024 we made the decision to rebrand from Christchurch Brick Shop to Brick Haven during the process of rebuilding our website. As an online-only nationwide brand, the continued use of  the name Christchurch Brick Shop was confusing to some and also left many with the impression that we had a physical store in Christchurch called Christchurch Brick Shop, which we don’t. The change from Christchurch Brick Shop to Brick Haven has been a very exciting one and we are hoping for bigger and better things going forward!

What does it mean that you are an ‘unofficial’ LEGO retailer? Is this genuine LEGO for sale?

Yes, all our stock is brand-new, genuine LEGO! Our supply chain is different from normal retail stores. Rather than buying from the usual New Zealand LEGO wholesaler, we have suppliers all over the world, enabling us to bring you collectable sets and great prices you may never find in New Zealand stores.

How do you decide which sets to sell?

We aim to sell a wide range of the most wanted LEGO sets. Sometimes a lack of supply stops us from obtaining sets, and sometimes the market price is simply too high, and therefore risky for us to carry on hand. We’re confident the vast majority of LEGO fans will find plenty of sets of interest within our range.

Do you sell second-hand sets?

Not often. On occasion, we will sell ex-display models, which are clearly marked as such where applicable.   

Can you bring in sets by request?

No, unfortunately we do not take requests for specific items

How do you determine your prices?

We aim to bring New Zealanders the best range of LEGO sets at the best prices possible. There are many factors in pricing our sets, including buy-in price, international demand, storage, liquidity, age, and risk. For more information, see our pricing policy.

Do you negotiate on prices or offer discounts?

We run different price promotions throughout the year, along with exclusive special deals each year at the Christchurch Brick Show. We don’t usually negotiate prices, however if you are interested in placing a large order for multiple items, you’re welcome to try your luck and contact us

Do you offer Laybuy?

Yes, we provide our own in-house laybuy service, however at the moment this is only possible manually via email and bank deposit. Check out our laybuy page for more information. 

Do you combine postage?

Yes, absolutely! Postage is automatically combined when you place your order. We cannot guarantee combined postage on separate orders. However, if you place multiple orders in quick succession and would like these combined, we can do so provided the items have not yet been packaged. Please email us as soon as possible if you’d like orders combined.

Can I pick up my order?

No, we are not currently allowing pickups.
